YARC19 check in.

Since we are roughly almost halfway through the year, I have decided to do an update on my reading the Year Of the Asian Author Challenge. I’ve read six books so far and my goal is to read at least 11-20 books and get the India Cobra badge.

*technically the halfway point is July 2nd but since June is the 6th month, I figured that its close enough

This lovely challenge was created and is being hosted by CW from The Quiet Pond, Lily from Sprinkles of Dreams, Vicky from Vicky Who Reads, and Shealea from Shut up Shealea. You can find an explanation of this challenge on this page.

Books I’ve Read

The Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan

Love Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed – review

The Love and Lies of Rhuksana Ali by Sabrina Khan

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang – review

One Dark Throne & Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake

Books I Want to Read

I have created a goodreads shelf* to keep track of my TBR for this challenge, but these are two titles I will bringing with me to Brasil next month.

Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi

Are you participating in YARC19? If so, how are you doing? What books by asian authors should I read next?

*this goodreads shelf was just created and is lacking multiple titles, so please leave me book recs down below
